The Monochrome Mix MK2, 30cm (~11.8″) long, 8 sheets total [M28]

Not quite 50 shades of grey, but this is as close we can get at the moment! Unlike stained wood, these veneers are dyed all the way through, so they can be sanded fine without running into surprises. We source our dyed veneer directly from the Italian manufacturer, who has over 40 years of experience in dying wood veneer.

✪ BEFORE YOU ORDER ✪

* Thickness varies slightly. The silver eucalyptus veneer is unusually thin, measuring just 0.45mm (~0.018″).

* The white veneers are very slightly translucent -- keep this in mind when laminating on a dark substrate.

* All these veneers have highly reflective surfaces. Due to this, their color tone changes noticeably depending on the lighting conditions. We have calibrated these photos to full sunlight (shade), which is colder than the scattered indoors natural light. Expect a slightly warmer appearance when viewed indoors.

* All veneers are top AA/A grade.

* Black veneer #1: dyed poplar (tulipwood, Liriodendron tulipifera), dimensions 30 x 12 cm (~11.8″ x 4.7″), thickness 0.56 mm (~0.022″), Grade A. Notes: Knots with barely visible void are possible. Long edge may jagged. Sheets are not entirely square.

* Black veneer #2: dyed koto (tulipwood, Pterygota macrocarpa), dimensions 30 x 19 cm (~11.8″ x 7.5″), thickness 0.56 mm (~0.022″), Grade AA.

* Dark grey veneer #1: dyed sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplanatus), dimensions 30 x 15 cm (~11.8″ x 5.9″), thickness 0.52 mm (~0.020″), Grade AA. Notes: Short edge may be a bit jagged. Sheets are not completely square.

* Dark grey veneer #2: dyed birdseye maple (Acer saccharum), dimensions 30 x 21 cm (~11.8″ x 8.3″), thickness 0.6 mm (~0.024″), Grade A. Notes: Long edge might be slightly jagged. Imprint from the veneer processing line possible.. Minor drying issues around the eyes (barely visible voids) possible.

* Silver veneer #1: dyed eucalyptus veneer (Eucalyptus spp.), dimensions 30 x 16 cm (~11.8″ x 6.3″), thickness 0.45mm (~0.018″), Grade AA. Notes: Long edge might be slightly jagged.

* Silver veneer #2: dyed koto (Pterygota macrocarpa), dimensions 30 x 19 cm (~11.8″ x 7.5″), thickness 0.56 mm (~0.022″), Grade AA. Notes: Healthy, small knots possible. Fine end splits are possible.

* White veneer #1: dyed sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplanatus), dimensions 30 x 15 cm (~11.8″ x 5.9″), thickness 0.52 mm (~0.020″), Grade AA. Notes: Perfect. Sheets are not perfectly square.

* White veneer #2: dyed birdseye maple (Acer saccharum), dimensions 30 x 11 cm (~11.8″ x 4.3″), thickness 0.56 mm (~0.022″), Grade A. Notes: Pronounced tendency to curl up. Dirt on one side of the veneer possible. Imprint from the veneer processing line on one side of the veneer is possible. Sheets are not completely square.
